HYDERABAD: Competing with the increasing number of private bus operators in the State, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) this year has managed to achieve an occupancy ratio of 74 per cent against 71 per cent last year. Higher profitsThe Corporation has also registered profits to the tune of Rs. 112 crore till August this year, when compared to the profits of Rs.123 crore posted last year, an official spokesman claimed on Sunday. Release of duesChief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy too appreciated APSRTC’s performance despite high diesel prices and is said to have instructed the finance department to release the dues promptly. Transport Minister K.
