‘Don’t dump waste on streets’

SALEM: The Salem Corporation has appealed to the people not to dump waste materials on streets during the Ayutha Pooja celebrations.

Corporation Commissioner K.S. Palanisamy, in a statement, said that the city was expected to generate large quantity of solid waste during the celebrations. Dumping of garbage on the streets would make it difficult for the civic workers to clean the areas. People should handover the garbage to the collection vehicles or use the bins, he said.
