VIZIANAGARAM: In a suicide pact Battina Satyavati (35), a housewife of Dabbirajupeta under Vallampudi police station limits in Vepada mandal gave her four daughters – B. Satyavati (18), B. Bujji (14), B.Vijaya (10) and B. Ramanamma (8) – pesticide on Sunday morning and she too consumed it. While the eldest daughter Satyavathi died immediately the other four were admitted to S.Kota hospital. After first aid there they were admitted to King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam where their condition was stated to be critical, according to R. Kanna Rao, SI of Vallampudi. Though the exact cause was not known, the SI, quoting locals, said that the mother was insane.
