CHENNAI: The All-India Cooperative Bank Employees Federation is to collect three crore signatures throughout the country urging necessary action for improving agricultural operations in the country and also for strengthening agriculture by strengthening cooperative banks. Launching the movement here on Monday, federation’s general secretary P.Balakrishnan said the campaign was intended to create awareness among ruling parties at the Centre and in the States that there should be proper agricultural growth to ensure higher production, which had been stagnant for the last 10 years. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
