ERP software launched

HYDERABAD: Softline Software Services (P) Ltd launched ‘Focus i’, its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions mainly targeted at small and medium enterprises, at a function here on Monday.

The fully extended version will be useful even for large corporates. Minister for Finance K. Rosaiah formally launched the product.

The company, which recorded a turnover of Rs. 40 crore last fiscal, proposes to double its revenues in about nine months, according to its chairman Mir Hasnain Ali Khan.

Talking to presspersons, he said that the company also planned to go for an IPO (initial public offering) to raise Rs. 100 crore in June 2009 to expand its operations within and outside India.

Mr. Khan said that the ERP solutions designed by the company were the most suited for Indian conditions in the sense that it would meet the excise laws, TDS, VAT, fringe benefits and other rules. The previous version which was launched world over had contributed 50 per cent revenues to the company. The new version would be launched in Middle East, Far East and also the US.

Managing Director Ahmed Ali Khan said that the clientele of the company included ITC-IBD (international business division); TUV India (rating agency), GVK BIO; PCH and TMC, among others.

He said the company was expecting to deploy the software in 250 companies. The target clientele included construction, electronics, retail, pharma, drug manufacturing and aviation industries.
