Drive against ticketless travel

Officials of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) conducted a drive to check ticketless travel recently. Surprise checks were conducted in and around the district at 90 places including Usilampatti, T. Kallupatti, Melur and Tirumangalam. More then 400 persons were found travelling without valid tickets. A fine amount of Rs. 11,721 was collected from them, according to a TNSTC press release.
