University of Kerala M.Sc. examination centre: Candidates who have opted for the Government Sanskrit College as the centre for the first semester M.Sc. Computer Science examinations of the Institute of Distance Education beginning on October 15 should get the hall tickets from Mar Ivanios College and write the examinations there itself. B.Tech. examinations: Applications for the first and second semester B. Tech (supplementary) examinations beginning on December 30, the fifth semester (regular) examinations beginning January 2 and for the third semester regular B.Tech. examinations beginning on January 22 can be submitted without fine till October 31, with a fine of Rs.50 till November 5 and with a fine of Rs.250 till November 11. In addition to the examination fee, candidates should also remit Rs.200 as fee for the centralised valuation camp. Walk-in interview: A walk-in interview will be held at 11 a.m. on October 13 for a temporary vacancy of project fellow in the Department of Geology. Those with an M.Sc. degree in Geology/Geography/Environmental Science with not less than 50 per cent marks can apply. The monthly stipend for the post would be Rs.8,000 and the term of appointment, two years. M.Phil. Political Science entrance: The entrance examination for admission to the M.Phil. programme of the Department of Political Science will be held at 11 a.m. on October 14 at the department seminar hall. Certificates proving eligibility (wherever applicable) should be produced before that date. M.Phil. Islamic Studies entrance: The entrance examination for admission to the M.Phil. programme of the Department of Islamic Studies will be held at 11 a.m. on October 15. M.Phil. Philosophy entrance: The entrance examination for admission to the M.Phil. course of the Department of Philosophy will be held at the department on October 15. MBA viva: The viva of the fourth semester full-time and the sixth semester part-time MBA examinations will be held from October 10 to 15. The detailed timetable can be had from the examination centre. M.Phil. viva: The viva for the M.Phil. Zoology (2007-08) course will be held at the Department of Zoology at University College, Thiruvananthapuram, on October 14. The viva for the M.Phil. Malayalam course will be held at the Department of Malayalam at the college on October 23. The viva for the M.Phil. Commerce course will be held at the Department of Commerce on October 17. The viva for M.Phil. students of the Department of Islamic Studies who have submitted their thesis will be held at 10 a.m. on October 16 at the department. Economics assignment: Students of the first and second year M.A. Economics course of the Institute of Distance Education should submit their assignments before October 17. LLM: The results of the LLM programme (CSS, 2006-08) examinations at the Department of Law have been published. IPR training programme: The Department of Law and the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment are jointly offering a three-day training programme in Intellectual Property Rights for college and university students on October 23, 24 and 25 at the Senate Chamber.
