KOCHI: The Merchant Navy Officers’ Welfare Association will organise a rally in the city on October 10 to highlight issues faced by sailors. The association alleged that there was negligence on the part of the government to free the crew and sailors aboard ships that have been taken hijacked by pirates. Hospital accreditationKOCHI: Ranjini Eye Hospital in the city has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers. The hospital has been given the accreditation under the NABH standards for small healthcare organisations. It is the first hospital in Kerala to get the recognition in the category, according to NSD Raju, head of the hospital. World Sight DayKOCHI: The Cochin Eye Foundation is organising a free diabetic screening camp on October 9 to mark World Sight Day. Surgeries will be conducted free of cost on deserving patients.
