Association opposes transfer of officer

NAMAKKAL: The sugar cane growers associations condemned the State Government for failing to conduct a meeting to discuss the issues of the cane growers.

A resolution to this effect was passed at a meeting held here recently.

The associations also opposed the transfer the special officer of Salem Co-operative Sugar Mills.

They wanted the Government to cancel the transfer order.

Inquiry

The associations wanted the Government to initiate a CBCID inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the administration of ethanol division, petrol bunk and polytechnic college, which were coming under the mill management.
