Shetty’s effort in vain

Udhagamandalam: Krish Shetty’s six for 19, including a hat-trick, went in vain as Laidlaw Memorial School went down by 45 runs to Riverside Public School in the NDCA under-14 inter-school cricket tournament for the Selma Selai Gowder Rolling Trophy here on Wednesday.

At the Hebron School grounds, The Lawrence School notched up a ten-wicket win over Hebron.

The scores: U-14: Riverside Public School 138 in 30 overs (Sanjay Krishna 50, Krish Shetty six for 19, including hat-trick) bt Laidlaw Memorial School 93, Hebron 30 in 17.1 overs (R. Mehta four for 2) lost to The Lawrence School 30 for no loss in two overs. U-16: Good Shepherd IS 148 for nine in 40 overs (Rishab 49, Nikhil Jain three for 4) vs. The Lawrence School 83 for one in 15 overs (Amit Garg 47 not out). (Match called off due to rain.).
