Bus trips cut, public upset

KARUR: Public of Thirumukkoodalur and Nerur areas in Karur district have called upon the Transport authorities to operate more bus trips to Karur and Namakkal from the region.

Recent revision in the trip schedules have upset the people as the number of trips have been cut, causing inconvenience to the public of the region.

In particular, the public point out that three bus services between Thirumukkoodalur and Karur through Nerur Sadasiva Brhamendrar temple were withdrawn since September 29. Similar was the fate of the bus service between Thirumukkoodalur and Velur in neighbouring Namakkal district that served people in over 20 villages en route. Irked public want the snapped services restored immediately.
