MADURAI: The annual K. Arunachalam Memorial Award for the best literary work on Gandhian thought for the year 2007, instituted by Tamil Nadu Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, was given away here on Thursday.

B. Natarajan won the award for his work ‘Sathya Vazhkkai,’ which dealt with Gandhian thinking.

S. Muthulakshmi, Principal, College of Gandhian Thought, presented the award, which included a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a citation. K. M. Natarajan of Tamil Nadu Gandhi Smarak Nidhi; S. Andiappan, Professor, Madurai Kamaraj University; M. Padamuthu; I. Murugesan, secretary, Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, and the award recipient spoke.
