Udupi: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Friday that the Government would take all measures to curb terrorist activities in the State. Mr. Yeddyurappa told presspersons here that some students of medical and engineering colleges were involved in terrorist activities. Some students had been arrested. Terrorist activities were taking place in the coastal districts. The Government had taken a serious note of these activities. “The State will take the help of the Centre to curb terrorist activities,” he said. The Chief Minister said that already four or five rounds of high-level meeting of top police officials had been held to strengthen security throughout the State, especially in the light of recent terrorist activities. On the Datta Mala Abhiyan being conducted by certain Hindutva organisations in Chikmagalur, Mr. Yeddyurappa said that all religious activities should be held within the legal framework. About the ban sought on Bajrang Dal, Mr. Yeddyurappa said the matter was expected to figure at the National Integration Council meeting in Delhi on October 13. Home Minister V.S.
