Haryana to computerise libraries

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Secretary Dharam Vir on Friday announced plans to computerise all district libraries in the State and link their book-lending facility.

Inaugurating a new automated library system here, he said information about new arrivals was being made available now on web1.hry.nic.in/library and each member could see the status of his or her library account, reserve books online and send requisitions for purchase of books to secttlib@hry.nic.in

He also announced plans to computerise all the file records of government offices.
