NEW DELHI: The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has ordered suspension of an assistant maintenance engineer at Mumbai airport in connection with the emergency landing of a GoAir aircraft at Delhi airport on Thursday evening.
“The engineer has been suspended for her perfunctory work in the nose-wheel aea at Mumbai airport,” said Director-General of Civil Aviation Kanu Gohain on Friday. Over 123 passengers and crew had a miraculous escape after one of the two tyres of the aircraft’s nose-wheel came off during take-off at Mumbai airport, forcing it to make an emergency landing at Delhi airport © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
