Diju-Jwala pair in last four

HYDERABAD: V. Diju and Jwala Gutta of India moved into the mixed doubles semifinals of the KLRC Bulgarian Grand Prix badminton championship with a 13-21, 21-11, 21-9 win over Lindley David and Rayappan Suzanne, according to information received here on Friday.

Women’s singles (second round): Aditi Mutatkar bt Olga Golovanova 21-18, 21-6; Shruti Kurian lost to Anastasia Proopenko 11-21, 19-21.

Men’s doubles (pre-quarterfinals): Rupesh Kumar & Sanave Thomas w/o Tichomir Kirov & Konstantin Kostadinov.
