IUML elects new office-bearers

Malappuram: Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal and P.K. Abudrabh were unanimously elected as the president and secretary of the district unit of the IUML here on Saturday, party sources said. Mr. Hyderali, who had held the post earlier also, replaces K.P.A. Majeed. P. Abdul Hameed will be the treasurer. Mohammad Moulavi, Isaaq Kurikkal, Vandoor Hyderali and Mohammad Arikode (vice-presidents) and Mohammad Unni Haji, Ashraf Kokkur, T.V. Ibrahim and P. Syed Alavi (joint secretaries) were the others elected at the annual meeting. Party State president Panakkad Syed Mohammadali Shihab Thangal and general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty were among those who were present.
