Two killed in blast

KARUR: Two persons were killed in a fire triggered by a blast in a hut where country-made crackers were being manufactured illegally, at Vangal Kuppuchipalayam near Karur on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Vijayan (40) and Marayee (40).

Senior police officers visited the spot and conducted inquiries. The police recovered unexploded crackers from the site. — Staff Reporter
