Observe restraint, CPI tells warring groups in Bhainsa


Party distressed over death of three in violence

Demands Rs. 5 lakh to families of victims


HYDERABAD: The Communist Party of India State Council has appealed to both sections of people in Bhainsa and Nirmal areas of Adilabad district to observe restraint and to be on guard against giving credence to rumours being spread allegedly by communal elements in view of the coming elections.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, the party expressed distress over the death of three persons in violent incidents and police firing, injuries to 26 persons, damage to 40 shops and burning of four lorries and 20 two-wheelers.

The council called upon the administration to take steps to ensure that the violence did not spread to other areas in the district.

Compensation

It demanded payment of Rs.5 lakh to the families of the three victims, Rs.3 lakh each to the injured and suitable compensation to those whose vehicles were burnt.

Party secretary K. Narayana, MP Aziz Pasha, legislator Palla Venkata Reddy and former legislator G. Mallesh will tour Nirmal and Bhainsa areas on October 12.
