C.H. remembered

Kozhikode: The State remained peaceful at large even when communalism played havoc elsewhere in the country, thanks to the secular tradition fashioned and promoted by leaders like the former Chief Minister and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader C.H. Muhammed Koya in the State, IUML State general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty has said.

He was delivering the C.H. Muhammed Koya memorial lecture at a function organised in connection with the 25th death anniversary of the leader here on Sunday.

The function organised at the Town hall here was attended by leaders from different walks of life.

IUML district secretary P.K.K. Bava, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C.K. Padmanabhan and son of C.H. Muhammed Koya and IUML leader M.K. Muneer among others spoke on the occasion.
