Seminar on e-filing of tax returns

KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode district unit of the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) will conduct a seminar on electronic filing of value-added tax (VAT), for the benefit of small industrialists at Hotel Hyson Heritage here on October 16.

A face-to-face programme with Sales Tax Department officials will also be held to orient small industrialists on the technical details of e-filing of tax returns.

The seminar is being held in the backdrop of the government notification that e-filing of returns will be made compulsory for all businesspersons who come under the VAT regime, from the 2008-09 fiscal.
