Vishal, Amrita lead the field

KOLKATA: Vishal Passi and Amrita Mukherjee will lead the field in the Asian under-14 series tennis main draw which begins at the Bengal Tennis Association courts here on Monday. Passi, who is currently ranked 10th in the continent, is on top of a field of promising youngsters.

Abhishek Alla, Shaikh Abdullah, Nischay Rawal, Kuwar Singh, Siddhant Deka are the other top names following Passi in the main draw released on Sunday.

In the girls section, Mukherjee (currently ranked 14th in Asia) heads a talented company comprising Bhavika Wadhwani, Shweta Shreehari, C. Sai Samhita, Rimpledeep Kaur and the under-14 National champion Sansita Nandkumar. — Principal Correspondent
