Maruti Homes TCC ‘C’ advances

KOCHI: Host Maruti Homes TCC ‘C’ defeated AG’s Thrissur Cricket Academy by seven wickets in the 58th Pooja all-India cricket tournament, which began with the first phase at the Tripunithura Palace Oval, on Sunday.

Batting first, AG’s TCA scored 168 in the allotted 40 overs, but TCC’s target was reduced to 110 in 26 overs in the rain-hit match.

Earlier, Babu Venkatesh, Managing Director, Maruti Homes, inaugurated the tournament.

The scores: AG’s Thrissur Cricket Academy 168 in 39.1 overs (Vysakh Chandran 59, Saby John three for 23) lost to Maruti Homes TCC ‘C’ (Tripunithura) 110 for three in 21 overs (K. S. Santhosh 52 n.o.), TCC’s target reduced to 110 in 26 overs.
