CHENNAI: Officers of the Air Intelligence Unit of the Chennai Airport Customs seized five crude gold bars, weighing a kg, from a Sri Lankan passenger at the Anna International terminal on Saturday. He was arrested. In a press release, the Customs Commissioner (Airport) said the officials intercepted the passenger while he was proceeding through the green channel. An examination of the check-in baggage revealed that the gold bars were kept concealed in the stroller rods.
