NEW DELHI: Five criminals on two motorcycles shot at and injured a 54-year-old businessman and his son and robbed them of Rs.4 lakh in cash and pre-paid calling cards worth lakhs at Anand Vihar here on Tuesday. The victims are stated to be out of danger now. The incident took place around 10 p.m. when Prem Chand and his sons Sandeep and Deepak were returning home from their MTNL-franchise shop at Viswas Nagar. As they neared Karkardooma, five motorcyclists intercepted them, fired five rounds and robbed them of cash and pre-paid cards they were carrying.
