Joginder strikes twice

NEW DELHI: Joginder Kumar struck twice as Glorious Club recorded a 4-1 win over New Friends Club in a group ‘A’ match of the DSA ‘B’ division football league on Thursday.

Neeshant and Naveen scored the other goals for Glorious after Kulwinder Singh had put New Friends ahead in the eighth minute.

Glorious has 10 points from four matches while New Friends has four points from four matches.

In another match in group ‘A’, Venus defeated Gulabi Bagh Club 2-0, thanks to the goals by Abhishek and Kuldeep. Venus has seven points from four matches and Gulabi Bagh has not yet opened its account after four matches.

Other results: Group ‘B’: Hans Club 1 (Chandan) drew with Dwaraka Club 1 (Narinder).
