Jaya Bhandari in two finals

NEW DELHI: Jaya Bhandari made it to the finals of both the under-14 and 12 girls’ sections respectively in the AITA Talent series junior tennis tournament at the Vasant Kunj Sports Complex, here on Thursday.

The results (all semifinals): Boys: U-14: Kartik Kannan bt Dhruv Goel 4-6, 6-3, 6-1; Aditya Sharma bt Himanshu Sagar 6-3, 6-1. U-12: Raghav Mehrotra bt K. Metba 6-4, 6-1; Vanro Mawia bt Zoram Sanga 6-3, 6-3.

Girls: U-14: Vatsala Pandey bt Karman Kaur 3-6, 6-0, 6-3; Jaya Bhandari b Jhanvi Gupta 7-6(5), 6-2. U-12: Sanya Sinha bt Karman Kaur 3-6, 7-5, 6-1; Jaya Bhandari bt D. Lalita 7-5, 6-2.
