Ballesteros has complication after surgery

MADRID: Madrid’s La Paz hospital says Seve Ballesteros has suffered a complication following surgery on a brain tumour, but he is in stable condition.

Doctors removed a piece of Ballesteros’s skull to relieve pressure that was building up on the brain following Tuesday’s surgery.

A hospital statement on Thursday says Ballesteros is stable but still in intensive care.

On Tuesday, doctors removed a sizable part of the 51-year-old Spaniard’s tumour. — AP
