Additional buildings for Karur hospital

KULITHALAI: Collector T.N. Venkatesh inspected the Government Hospital here on Wednesday and reviewed the construction of new buildings at a cost of Rs.85.80 lakh.

He also enquired with the inmates of the maternity ward on the availability of medicines and other facilities.

He said that the hospital would soon get additional buildings under the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project and the work would be completed in another three months. Further maintenance work would be carried out at a cost of Rs.8 lakh during the current year.

Vacant posts

Proposals have been forwarded to fill up the vacant medical officer positions in the hospital, Mr. Venkatesh added.
