City students excel in spelling contest

Three students of a city school secured ranks in the MaRRS International Spelling Bee contest held at Mumbai on Oct. 11 and 12. According to Principal of Ramakrishna School at NAD Kottaroad, its students, R. Swetha and Syed Tariq Yaser of Standard IX bagged first and sixth positions in Category IV while Suraj of Standard X bagged sixth position in Category V. Six students from the school qualified at the national-level competition held at Chennai in April last and participated in the contest at Mumbai.
