SBH profit up 48 % in first half

HYDERABAD: State Bank of Hyderabad has recorded impressive results for the half-year ended September 30, 2008, with the operating profit touching Rs. 570 crore as against Rs. 385 crore during the same period last year. Managing Director Renu Challu said that the operating profit grew by an impressive 48 per cent year-on-year. The total business grew by over 30 per cent to Rs. 97,080 crore with a growth of Rs. 8,415 crore. — Special Correspondent
