ONGOLE: Ten persons — four men, four women and two children — were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling plunged into the Addanki branch canal at Kommalapadu village in Prakasam district at 7.30 p.m. on Friday. Nine bodies have been recovered and attempts are on to recover one more. According to police, the deceased belonged to a Visya family headed by Garlapati Sankara Rao (74), a furniture shop owner at Lalapet in Guntur district.
