Srinidhi wins girls’ under-19 title

HYDERABAD: S. Srinidhi of Chennai, with 6.5 points, bagged the title in the girls’ under-19 chess championship in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan National sports meet, here on Saturday.

Chennai Region bagged the overall championship and Mumbai region was second.

Southern Railway defeated West Central Railway 1-0 in the league competitions of the all-India RPF hockey championship at the RRC ground, here on Saturday.

Bhavans School defeated Gymkhana Football Club 3-2 in the Greater Hyderabad football tournament for under-18 boys, organised by the AP Veteran Football Association, here on Saturday.

State rifle meet

The Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh will conduct the State shooting competition at the Gachibowli Shooting Range from October 23 to 25 for sub-juniors, juniors, men and women.
