Young World painting contest next month

Bangalore: Come November, it will be time for The Hindu Young World Painting Competition. Just as in previous years, there will be no entry fee or entry form for participation in the contests. Participants - juniors (from class IV to class VII) and seniors (class VIII to class X) - have to send their drawings for the preliminary round to their nearest centre or to the centre where they would like to come for the finals.

The topics for the preliminary round for the junior category are Sports Day, In the Zoo, Flying Kites and Birthday Party.

For the seniors, the topics are Watching a Stage Play, On a Hill Station, Bandh/Strike Day and Environment Day.

This year, the competition will be conducted at 14 centres. On November 29, it will be held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode and on November 30, it will be conducted at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, New Delhi, Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchi. The entries for the preliminary round should reach all centres by November 3.
