Jamia teachers call for Parliament march

NEW DELHI: The Jamia Teachers’ Solidarity Group, an independent forum of faculty members at Jamia Millia Islamia, has called for a citizens’ march to Parliament on Friday to press for a judicial enquiry into the Batla House encounter in which two suspected terrorists were killed. The group has demanded an inquiry into the encounter by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court. The activists will assemble at Jantar Mantar before proceeding towards Parliament.
