Reliance Power Q2 net at Rs. 37 crore

CHENNAI: Reliance Power, engaged in the development of power projects with an installed capacity of 28,200 MW, has reported a total income of Rs. 56.96 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2008 while the net profit stood at Rs. 37.22 crore. The cash and liquid balances stood at Rs. 10,756 crore. The construction of the Rosa Phase I (600 MW) project at Shahjahanpur is expected to go on stream ahead of the scheduled date of March 2010, the company said in a release. — Corporate Reporter
