Bal Bharati in semifinals

NEW DELHI: S.S. Mota Singh School defeated Bal Bharati Public School, Noida, 3-2 in the under-18 boys section, but that did not stop the latter from qualifying for the semifinals, in the Modernites inter-school hockey tournament at the Modern School ground, Barakhamba Road, here on Wednesday.

In another league match in the same section, Modern School beat Hillwood Academy, Preet Vihar, 4-0. Both the teams had ensured qualification already.

In the semifinlas, Bal Bharati will meet Hillwood, while Modern School will take on Guru Harkrishan Public School, India Gate.

In the under-15 semifinals, Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura will meet Amity International School, Noida, and Modern School will challenge N.K Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka. — Special Correspondent
