Divij stuns top seed Pavel

NEW DELHI: Divij Sharan knocked out top seed Pavel Chekhov of Russia 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the pre-quarterfinals of the $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Lagos, Nigeria, on Wednesday.

However, Divij and Rohan Gajjar who had won the doubles title last week, lost in the first round to Sunday Emmanuel and Lawal Shehu of Nigeria 4-6, 6-3, 7-10.
