THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: S. Sreesanth has not been included in the Kerala Ranji Trophy squad for the opening match of the plate league against Goa which begins at Fort Maidan on November 3. However, Sreesanth will be considered for the rest of the matches subject to the result of his fitness test which will be held at the NCA on November 4. This was decided at the senior selection committee meeting of the Kerala Cricket Association which met at Bangalore on Wednesday. The selection committee also announced a 15-member squad for the plate league matches. It was also decided that C.M. Tejas would be called as second wicket-keeper for the away matches. Last year’s semifinalists, Kerala will play three matches at home in Palakkad while its away matches are against Himachal Pradesh (at Dharamshala) and Jharkand (Jamshedpur) respectively. The conditioning camp for the probables is being held at the NCA, Bangalore and the team will play a friendly match with the Karnataka Ranji side before its plays Goa. The team: Sony Cheruvathur (captain), Raiphy Vincent Gomez (vice-captain), Sebastian Antony, Sambasiva Sharma, Sreekumar Nair, V.A. Jagadeesh, Rohan Prem, Robert Fernandez, Vinan G.
