Ballack and Germany coach Loew clash

FRANKFURT: Germany coach Joachim Loew (right) says he is surprised and disappointed by the sharp criticism from his captain Michael Ballack. Ballack criticised Loew over the benching of Torsten Frings in the national team, saying the midfielder owed loyalty and respect for his years of international service. — AP
