Marian College begins well

KOCHI: Marian College (Kuttikkanam) defeated Ernakulam’s St. Albert’s College 43-24 in the Mahatma Gandhi University inter-zone basketball championship which began at the FISAT Stadium, Angamaly, on Thursday. Jain Kuriakose (13 points) led the scoring for Marian.

G. Kishore, Kerala State Sports Council Secretary, opened the new basketball court at the FISAT sports complex while E. C. Prince, Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Excise, inaugurated the tournament.

The result: Marian College 43 (Jain Kuriakose 13, Nobin Antony 10) bt St. Albert’s College 24 (S.B. Rishikesh 11). — Principal Correspondent
