dated October 25, 1958: Cease-fire in Algeria

Mr. Ferhat Abbas, head of the “Free” Algerian government, said in a newspaper interview to be printed in Belgrade on October 23 that there could be an end to the war in Algeria “if there were negotiations with the French government for a democratic and peaceful settlement based on justice”. The interview is appearing in the Yugoslav official newspaper Borba.
