Theft at Connemara Market

Thiruvananthapuram: Cigarette bundles valued at around Rs.35,000 and Rs.6000 in cash were stolen from a shop in the Palayam Connemara Market in the wee hours of Saturday. The theft occurred at stall number 17 owned by A. Kabeer. A case has been filed at the Cantonment police station. Theft attempts were also made in two shops inside the Chala Market early on Saturday morning. The Fort Police said that there had been no loss or damage of property. — Staff Reporter
