Jagadeesan, vice-president of Presidency College Alumni Association (PCAA), paid rich tributes to Raja Sir M.A. Muthiah Chettiar for his contribution to the field of education and social service. Presiding over a function to mark the unveiling of a portrait of Raja Sir M.A. Muthiah Chettiar, the first Mayor of Chennai Corporation, Mr. Jagadeesan said the life of Muthiah Chettiar was worthy of emulation by the present younger generation. G. Masilamani, Advocate-General of Tamil Nadu, who unveiled the portrait in the presence of industrialists Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetty and M.A.M. Ramaswamy, and former Minister R.M.
