‘Samathuva Deepavali’ celebrated

CHENNAI: The Chromepet New Colony Resident’s Welfare Society celebrated the festival of lights as ‘Samathuva Deepavali’ on Saturday. Both Christian and Islamic residents took part in the celebrations and lit the kuthuvilakku. Society members distributed sweet packets and saris among destitute women on the occasion, a press release said.
