‘Solve water crisis’

Udhagamandalam: Problems relating to distribution of water dominated the proceedings of the Udhagamandalam Municipal Council held here on Tuesday. K.A. Mustaffa (DMK) said that a permanent solution should be found to the frequent disruption in supply of water from the main Parsons Valley Hydel Reservoir. Susheela Agilan (DMK) said that complaints regarding water supply should be attended to without delay. She claimed that the officials in charge of water supply were difficult to access. Selvaraj (DMDK) regretted that at many places pipes were leaking and asked the authorities to either plug the leaks or replace the pipes. The chairman, R. Rajendran, presided. Among those who participated was the Commissioner, Seeni Ajmal Khan.
