Convicted for taking bribe

Bangalore: A Special Court in Mysore has convicted three officials working at the office of the Director-General and Inspector-General of Police, and sentenced them to six months imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs. 2,000 each. Thimmaraju, first division assistant, was caught while accepting Rs. 2,500 on behalf of A.N. Mashaldi, Office Superintendent and B.K. Ravinath, F.D.A., in 1997.
