Indians keep up fine show

New Delhi: V. Santosh Kumar (64kg) and Bajrang (54kg) booked their pre-quarterfinal berths with convincing wins as Indians rounded off yet another good day at the inaugural AIBA Youth world boxing championship in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The results: 64kg: V. Santosh Kumar bt Aram Martirosyan 12-5. 54kg: Bajrang bt Francis Aston Palicite 27-8. Featherweight: Sheffer Oleg by K. Roshan Singh 14-6.

Sunday’s results: 69kg: Balwinder Beniwal bt Aliaksandr Hryhorchyk 16-4. 60kg: Neeraj Goyat bt Toefuataina Faileaso 16-4. 48kg: Thokchom Nanao Singh bt Robert Wright 11-6. — PTI
