Centre for training in life-saving measures

COIMBATORE: TACT Academy for Clinical Training and Medserve have opened in the city a centre that will impart training to healthcare professionals, nurses in life saving skills.

Basic Life Support Provider Course, accredited by the American Heart Association, will be among the courses the organisation will conduct.

Holistic training

The academy has said in a press release that it wanted to provide holistic and interactive training for healthcare professionals.

The academy used simulation methods to train people in life saving efforts.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Advanced Life Support were some of the other standard courses being offered.

The release said basic emergency training for public and healthcare workers would be provided.

They include: save a life, give a life programme for public, basic respiratory life support, advanced respiratory life support, trauma and emergency management, effective practices in infection control. Managing Director of Sakthi Sugars M. Manickam inaugurated the academy.
