PMK-AIADMK cadres clash

CUDDALORE: Cadres of the Pattali Makkal Katchi and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam clashed over the location of a fair price shop at Mannadikuppam near Neyveli on Monday.

The police said the foundation for the fair price shop to be built from the MLA Local Area Development Funds had already been laid on the East Street at Mannadikuppam. However, the AIADMK cadres were demanding that it must be set up on the South Street. The supporters of two parties on Monday indulged in wordy quarrel and later pelted stones at each other.

One of the injured has been admitted to hospital. — Special Correspondent
